Patchwork bird cushions

Two new little girl bird cushions finished today. I'm always so happy when I finish a project I have so many ideas begun but yet to be completed!! As usual I mixed my fabrics - cottons and linens and of course there is always a little antique linen in there! I appliqued the bird and then hand embroidered it. The flower is vintage taken from an old tablecloth. I bought it on Etsy from a lady in Australia who hand dyes them. Unfortunately she hasn't had another set in the pinks so I haven't been able to buy more. Going on Etsy, more images on flickr
