Jamie's Advent Calendar

Here is Jamie's Advent Calendar just into for December. I planned it out on paper first then just started sewing. Jamie picked the crocodile as his favourite so that is number 24. I decided to make it a bit like a quilt by adding wadding and machine quilting around each pocket. It's my first time I have quilted and I made a few mistakes. I also added binding- I have never done that either. It was a bit of a disaster but ou can't tell in the photo!! Oh well! I hope I am better next time! The back of the calendar is red poka-dot flannel- very soft! Now I just have to fill each pocket with a little surprise so Jamie can start his countdown. I will have to watch him as I bet he tries to have each surprise before their due date. More photos on Flickr.
